Graduation is more than a Milestone
Its a moment of transition. For many college seniors, it’s the moment they stand at the edge of two worlds: the one they’ve grown in... and the one they’re about to grow into.
Recently, I had the honor of photographing Chase and Paige, two friends, and soon-to-be graduates from Bentley and Boston College. They wanted more than just the traditional cap-and-gown photos. They wanted a session that celebrated their friendship, captured their personality, and gave them versatile portraits they could proudly use as they step into their careers.
More Than Just a Celebration
A main component of the session was for the girls to feel empowered for what’s next. We designed a shoot together with a dual purpose, preparing them for the future, and to celebrate their friendship!
Classic Meets Confident
We started with simple headshots. These were clean and confident, perfect for LinkedIn and résumés.
Then we moved into more relaxed, personality-driven portraits, these images aren’t just for Instagram, they’re for her future self to look back on and remember who she was at the start of it all.
Finally, we couldn’t skip the artistic images at the end! The session was a journey of their personality.
Why These Photos Matter
We often think of graduation photos as something we do for our families. But this session is for the graduate. To see themselves as strong, smart, and ready. To have a visual reminder that they can walk into that next chapter...with confidence.
